Why am I here?

RESPECT MY AUTHORITAY – My early days as a Neocon Statist

I didn’t intend to start this blog with such a philosophical question, but if you somehow managed to stumble to this page you are probably also wondering the answer to this.  My name is Ryan and I grew up in an Irish Catholic family on the Westside of Cleveland, Ohio.  I had a pretty typical childhood in a conservative midwest household.  All of my life, I wanted to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps to become a Mechanical Engineer. When the time came, I decided to move to an even more Catholic and conservative city in Ohio and attend the University of Cincinnati to study Mechanical Engineering. Colleges these days tend to be liberal cesspools that churn out social justice warriors.  This wasn’t exactly the experience I had as an engineering student where most my time was spent at work, studying or building up my alcohol tolerance while I awkwardly hit on coeds.  My poor flirting skills never improved, but I did meet some radical libertarian friends that slowly warmed my Neocon heart to the ways of Liberty.

My friends are dicks

Five years later I am a full blown libertarian working as an engineer for a Fortune 500 company in Northeast Ohio.  Unfortunately, my love for liberty and bullshitting abilities are not valued in corporate America.  I spend most of my days working on Excel spreadsheets while listening to Libertarian podcasts to drown out my coworkers Trump versus Clinton debates. If you listen to enough episodes of Tom Woods you will eventually end up with a website and a small business and this is how I came to create this site.  This will mostly be a hobby for me as I attempt to create another derivative libertarian ecommerce site but I hope I can provide some cool things that are not yet in the market.  I created this blog to go along with my ecommerce site because the experts say it is necessary to generate web traffic.

I plan on documenting the process of creating this site from choosing what items to sell to the marketing decisions I make.  I want to help anyone interested in taking this path with the hopes of getting some money from affiliate traffic along the way.  As I research the ecommerce world I only see success stories of people that just fall out of bed and start selling one million dollars of shower curtains a year.  I created this blog hoping that I can turn a profit with the site, but I plan on having full transparency so people can follow the process I am using and see if it is successful.  I may just end up being a starving ecommerce salesman who is working full time as an engineer and that is something I am ok with.  I also know that there are hundreds of libertarian bloggers who are much better writers and smarter than me.  When I do comment on current events I will be putting the focus on local issues that affect the bigger picture of liberty as I strongly feel liberty starts at home.  I will let the other writers worry about the bigger national events and what Trump is currently tweeting.  I just want to have fun with this and maybe help some people along the way.  Thank you for reading and following my journey.

In liberty,
Ryan
